Winner Announced for Sydney Sweeney-Designed Dream Ford Mustang

Today, Ford Motor Company is announcing the winner of a 2024 custom Mustang GT designed by Sydney Sweeney. The winner, Brittley, grew up in Washington State and owns a 2005 Mustang, which she works on with her father.
Brittley's submission was one of approximately 5,000 compliant submissions that answered Sweeney's prompt, "share how you've been able to challenge expectations in your own passion."
Brittley shared how she's been able to challenge expectations in her passions and was focused on her experience in male-dominated fields, including working as a sous-chef, in video game development, and the time she spends outside of work fixing up her own vehicle. As one of the only women in restaurant kitchens, meeting rooms, and auto shops, she has had to learn the importance of self-confidence and the power of her voice.

Her submission was chosen by both Sweeney and Ford, based on the contest criteria. She will receive her 2024 Ford Mustang GT next month.

Ford is teaming up with acclaimed actress and avid auto enthusiast Sydney Sweeney to give one lucky fan a custom-made 2024 Ford Mustang GT designed by Sweeney herself.
Sweeney worked closely with the Ford team to design her dream vehicle, inspired by her 1965 Mustang named Britney.
“It’s heartening to see Ford celebrate individuals who are pushing past stereotypes to do what they love. That’s why I was so excited to work with Ford on designing my dream car, and I can’t wait to surprise someone special with a matching vehicle.”
The contest – which begins today – aims to celebrate those who defy stereotypes to pursue their passions. Participants can go to Ford Instagram or TikTok to see the contest rules and enter for their chance to win. The contest closes Feb. 7, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
Ford, celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Ford Mustang this year, will assemble two custom Mustang cars – one for Sweeney and one to be gifted to a lucky contest winner. Inspired by Sweeney's Brittany Blue 1965 Mustang, the vehicle is a blend of retro charm and a modern aesthetic, and incorporates her unique personal style through customized textures, embellishments, and other details, including:
A Robin’s Egg Blue exterior with a crushed glass clear coat and sleek 20-inch chrome rims
Sweeney’s signature emblazoned on the car’s engine
The Ford x Sydney Sweeney heart bolt emblem – previously featured on clothing from the Ford x Sydney workwear collections – on the exterior side, the sill plate design, the dashboard, and embossed on the leather seats
Color-changing LED stars across the headliner, inspired by Sweeney’s love for nighttime drives
Sweeney grew up in a family of mechanics in Spokane, Wash., and learned to drive on her great-grandfather’s Ford F-100. During the pandemic, she documented her restoration of a 1969 Ford Bronco on her TikTok channel, @Syd’s_Garage, garnering over 7 million likes.
Most recently, last November, Ford and Sweeney released a highly anticipated new workwear collection. This followed the first line of Ford x Sydney Sweeney apparel, which launched in March 2023; this workwear collection was in high demand, with the most popular items selling out in under 36 hours and prompting a restock.
In addition to her two Ford x Sydney Sweeney exclusive workwear collections, Sweeney launched an Auto 101 social series and online lookbook to help teach viewers how to check their vehicle tire pressure, jump a dead battery, and other aspects of vehicle maintenance. The series aims to inspire women to feel more comfortable working on their vehicles.
